On March 3, 2018, the K.O. Knudson Model Bridge Building Team competed in the
Southern Nevada Regional Model Bridge Building Contest. Nine students designed and built bridges from basswood and glue and visited the UNLV College of Engineering. It's not easy to build a strong bridge. Not only must students design their own bridges on paper, but they must also build them! Each student's bridge represented the student's own creativity and engineering skill. For most students, the design and building process took over two months.
All their hard work paid off--we won second place!
