Welcome to Knudson Gardens!

Our school garden started as a little patch of ground that students watered to grow potatoes.  In the years that have followed, we've grown!  We currently grow between twenty to sixty different kinds of plants in school garden, including bananas, watermelons, figs, kiwis, carrots, lettuce, broccoli, cilantro, beans, sunflowers, milkweeds, and more!

The garden is a teaching tool primarily used by the science department.  Not only do we teach students about nutrition and healthy eating, we also conduct experiments!  Our major multiyear experiment right now is investigating watermelon genetics.  What happens when you cross a yellow-flesh watermelon with a red-flesh watermelon?  Not sure?  Come see our garden to find out!
